LPG is the generic name for a mix of butane (40%) and propane (60%) gasses that when lightly compressed, change to a liquid. LPG is a cleaner burning fuel compared to petrol, diesel, wood, coal or fuel oil, making it one of the most environmentally friendly fossil fuels available.

Although LPG is neither toxic or poisonous, it is highly flammable. A chemical is added to odourless LPG to ensure that leaks (even small ones) can be detected.

We take pride in our depots and are committed to minimising our environmental footprint. Environmental risk is a part of everyday risk assessment and management. The outcome of this being;

  • Activities and processes that could have an environmental impact are identified and managed accordingly.
  • Waste materials are contained and disposed of appropriately.
  • Our workers and our neighbours are not unduly affected by noise, odour, dust, or the visual impact of our operations.
  • Reducing, re-using and recycling resources wherever practicable.

We care for our communities and the environment we operate in, and never stop learning or improving.
